WHAT A BI-WEEKLY VISIT LOOKS LIKE

A well-designed planter carries itself for a few weeks. After that it wants a hand: spent blooms pulled, a feeding, a wilting branch cut back, and somebody who notices the first aphid before it becomes a hundred. That is the work, and we do it on a schedule every other week through the growing season.

Every visit covers the same six things on every planter, so nothing gets skipped because it was not obvious that day.

  1. 1
    DEEP WATER

A thorough root soaking for every plant in every container, not a surface rinse.

  2. 2
    FERTILIZE

Water-soluble fertilizer on a regular rhythm, which is what keeps the blooms coming.

  3. 3
    DEAD HEAD

Spent flowers come off so the plant puts its energy into new buds instead of seed.

  4. 4
    PRUNE

Stray and wilting branches are cut back to keep the arrangement balanced and full.

  5. 5
    INSPECT

We check for insects, fungus, and disease, and apply a treatment on the spot if we find any.

  6. 6
    REPLACE

If a plant is not thriving, we swap it out. That is included, not an extra.

IF A PLANT DOES NOT MAKE IT

We replace it at no additional cost while your planters are under regular maintenance. Plants are living things and a hard week of weather can take one out. That coverage is the reason clients who describe themselves as having no green thumb are comfortable handing us the whole front entry.

WHO MAINTENANCE IS FOR

  • Enhanced and Ultimate subscribers, who already have maintenance included
  • Basic subscribers who want to add bi-weekly visits
  • Anyone with existing planters or porch pots who wants professional upkeep without a subscription
  • Commercial clients with entryway, patio, or storefront planters

HOW MAINTENANCE FITS WITH OUR OTHER SERVICES

Maintenance is included in the Enhanced and Ultimate tiers of our planter subscriptions, and it is available as an add-on if you are on the Basic tier. You do not need a subscription at all to book it: we take care of planters we did not design, too.

Between visits, watering is the thing most likely to slip, especially in July. A drip irrigation system handles that automatically every morning and pairs naturally with bi-weekly care. It is included in the Ultimate tier and can be added to any plan.

When the growing season closes out, we handle the seasonal cleanup and hand off to the next display, whether that is a fall pumpkin porch or winter greenery from our seasonal decor service. We visit planters across Oakland County and Metro Detroit.

Not sure whether you want visits on their own or the whole subscription? Call 248-846-0045 or email Info@DSPlanter.com and describe what you have growing. We will tell you which one actually makes sense for your property.
